Introduction to "bath ratio" of dyeing machine
In the printing and dyeing industry, with the continuous improvement of the automation of the dyeing machine, the word "bath ratio" is often concerned and often mentioned by customers. So, what is "bath ratio"?
1. Bath ratio refers to the ratio of the weight of the dye to the volume of the dye used.
As indicated by 1:20:
If the fabric weighs 200 kg, the volume of solution = 20 × 200 = 4000L (L)
2. Effect of bath ratio on dyeing
Conditions: other dyeing conditions are the same, such as the same fabric weight, the same amount of dye, the same temperature and time, the same amount of additives, etc.
Small bath ratio is conducive to dark dyeing, and large bath ratio is conducive to level dyeing (but light color)
3. Two expression methods and understanding of dye concentration
1) %: refers to the percentage of dye weight to fabric weight
For example, the dye concentration is 2%. If the fabric weighs 100kg, the required dye weight is 2% × 100=2kg
2) G / L: refers to the gram of dye contained in 1 liter of solution
For example, if the dye concentration is 10g / L and the solution volume is 300L, the weight of the required dye = 10 × 300=3000g=3kg
4. What dyes can be used to dye various commonly used fibers?
1) Polyester → disperse dye
2) Acrylic → cationic dye
3) Cotton → direct reactive sulfide dyes, etc
4) Nylon → acid dyes, disperse dyes, etc
5) T / C fabric → disperse dyes are generally used to dye polyester at high temperature and high pressure, and then cotton dyes are used to dye cotton at room temperature and pressure.
